Game Offerings / Types

DraftDay offers daily games for all the sports you want: MLB, NBA, NFL , NHL, CFB and PGA. For game types, DraftDay offers Standard, Guaranteed, Target, Live Draft, Turbo, 50/50s, Modified Salary Cap contests, and plenty of other cash games.

Rake

DraftDay does not have a set rake amount for every buy-in amount, so we can't provide a rake breakdown at this time.

Standard

These contests require a specific number of entries to run. If the number of entries required isn't met, the contest will be canceled and entry fees will be refunded.

Guaranteed

Guaranteed prize pool paid in full regardless of the number of entrants.

Target

These games specify a target point total for your team. All teams that meet or exceed this point total share the prize pool equally.

Live Draft

Live Drafts require a specific number of entrants to run. Once the required number of entrants is reached, the draft will begin. Entrants are assigned a draft pick and select their players in sequential order until all teams are complete. Entry fees range currently from $0 - $109, with total prizes ranging from up to $300.

Turbo

Turbo games only include players from teams playing in earlier games.

50/50

Finish in the top half of the field and win no matter how many entries exist. Entry fees range currently from $1 - $1,065, with total prizes ranging from $36 to $6,000.

Modified Salary Cap

These games offer different starting salary amounts for drafting lineups. The salary caps may be more or less than the cap in a standard DraftDay game.

Rapid Fire

Select the player that will score the most fantasy points. Pick a minimum of 3 matchups correctly to win.

Rapid Fire Max

Select the player that will score the most fantasy points. Pick all 5 matchups correctly to win.

Perfect Lineup

Perfect Lineup is a special game that runs weekly during the regular season of the NFL. Players draft 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 D/ST, and 1 K. This is a free contest.

Rules and Scoring

DraftDay's rules and scoring are similar to many of the other Daily Fantasy Sports sites.

To get started, simply:

1 - Choose a Sport and Contest or Create Your Own (ex: NBA - PickEm). Then select the Entry Fee and Prize, or choose a Free Contest (ex: $1 NBA Pickem - $1 Entry Fee - $50 in prizes)

2 - Pick your fantasy team for the day or week, depending on the type of contest you selected. You need to stay under the salary cap, and make sure you select a complete roster. You can search by name to see player news and stats.

3 - Sit back and watch. If your team scores the most points that day or weekend, you win. You can keep track of scoring in real-time, as well as view the time remaining.

Baseball

DraftDay uses salary cap drafting. You have a set salary cap that you are allowed to draft players with based on estimated fantasy production for each player. You have to complete your roster within your budget in order to have a valid team. The team with the most fantasy points wins. For baseball, DraftDay's roster is 9 slots: C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, LF, CF, RF, P. DraftDay does offer live drafting, which makes it stand out from some of the other well-know Daily Fantasy Sports sites.
